Lila Nordstrom is a Los Angeles-based freelance writer. In 2006 she formed an advocacy group called StuyHealth, which represents students who were exposed to the World Trade Center clean-up after 9/11. Since then she has worked to raise awareness about issues surrounding access to health monitoring and treatment for 9/11 victims. Her efforts have been honored by the Manhattan Borough President and featured in The New York Times, New York Daily News, New York Post, Village Voice, New York Sun, Downtown Express, Metro NY, AM New York, and by CBS, Fox, NBC, NY1, WBAI and others. She has also written about these issues for The Huffington Post and The Guardian.
